SPSSI Leadership Supports Three New Resolutions Concerning Psychology and Climate Change

Three new resolutions designed to put into action the policy recommendations made in the APA Task Force on Psychology and Climate Change have recently been endorsed by SPSSI.  The first resolution requests money for conducting a greenhouse gas inventory of APA’s building and business practices that would allow APA to set goals and devise actions to best reduce its contributions to climate change.  The second requests that APA make public its support of the research on the existence and bio-physical and human impacts of climate change.  The third requests that APA set up structures to assist psychologists in their research, teaching, and practice as it relates to climate change.  For more information, please contact SPSSI Policy Coordinator Chris Woodside at cwoodside@spssi.org.
