2025 Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring Award Winner:

R. Lillianne Macias, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of New Haven and the Director of Research and Evaluation at Esperanza United. She has a degree in Clinical-Community Psychology from Georgia State University and was a clinical-community fellow at Yale School of Medicine.
 
Dr. Macias specializes in trauma-informed, community-based prevention and program development. Her research interests include individual and collective trauma and participatory action research (PAR). Dr. Macias provides mentorship to students at the undergraduate and graduate level in community-based research and practice.
