The 2018 APA convention will take place in San Francisco, CA, August 9-12. Our SPSSI (Division 9) programming theme for the convention is “Promoting Social Change with Research, Policy, and Practice.
Proposals for the 2018 APA Convention can now be submitted online at: www.apa.org/convention/proposals.aspx
The deadline for division proposals is Thursday, December 1.
We are currently accepting submissions for:
Posters: Sharing of research findings, new ideas, innovations and advances in the profession with as many individuals as possible.
Papers: Papers submitted to a division will be grouped together by the division program chairperson within paper sessions scheduled for 50 minutes.
Symposia: Focused sessions in which multiple participants present their views about a common theme, issue or question.
Skill-Building Sessions: Programs based on teaching direct skills and application of theory to participants.
Data Blitz: Fast-paced reports on hot topics – typically featuring eight individuals talking for no more than five minutes each on a variety of research areas.
Conversation Hours: Opportunities for informal discussion and exchange of ideas between the audience and usually one or two presenters.
