2018 Summer Conference Co-Chair


Asia Eaton is a feminist social psychologist, an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Florida International University (FIU), and a core faculty member in the Developmental and I-O Psychology Programs at FIU. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and B.S. and B.A. degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research examines how gender intersects with identities such as race and sexual orientation to affect individuals access to and experience with power in (1) intimate partner relationships and (2) in the workplace. She is currently an Associate Editor for Psychology of Women Quarterly and a Consulting Editor for Sex Roles, and has received SPSSI’s Michele Alexander Early Career Award. She also serves as Head of Research for Cyber Civil Rights Initiative (CCRI), which is working to understand and end the emerging epidemic of non-consensual porn in the U.S.
