Hello SPSSI Members,

Want to be a reviewer for the SPSSI track of the APA 2021 Convention?

We are currently seeking reviewers for the Division 9 program at APA 2021. If you are willing to be a reviewer, please click on the link below and fill out the reviewer information that is requested (e.g., name, contact information, areas of expertise).

Information about being a reviewer:

  • Reviewers should have some post-baccalaureate training in psychology or a related field. Current graduate students working toward a masters or doctorate are eligible to serve as reviewers.
  • Each reviewer is typically assigned between 3 and 5 proposals. This varies from year to year based on the number of proposals submitted and the number of reviewers, so this does not require a massive time commitment.
  • Whenever possible, reviewers will be assigned proposals that are within their areas of expertise.
  • Reviewers will receive their assigned proposals in early February, and they will have around 3 weeks to submit their reviews using the APA Convention online reviewer portal (information about how to access that will be sent to reviewers before proposals are assigned).

Thank you for considering serving as a reviewer, and thank you for helping the division in this capacity! Please let us know if you have any questions about the process before nominating yourself as a reviewer. Please also let us know if you would like to receive review content in an alternate format.

Your 2021 APA Div 9 Co-Chairs,
David Buck (dbuck@elon.edu) & Adrian Villicana (villica@wwu.edu)

Additionally, there's still time to submit a proposal for APA 2021! SPSSI is currently accepting proposals for individual and group programs to be included in the Division 9 programming at the virtual convention this summer. This is a great opportunity to share your research or expertise with psychologists from many different fields. The deadline for division program proposals has been extended to January 26, 2021 at 5 pm ET. Click here for more information and to submit a proposal.
