SPSSI Historian
SPSSI's Historian is appointed by Council, on the recommendation of the Executive Committee, for a three-year term that may be renewed. Specific expectations of the SPSSI Historian include:
- overseeing storage of the historical records of the Society and working with central office staff to initiate archival deposits as needed
- working with Central Office staff to ensure that entries at www.spssitimeline.org are expanded, deepened, and brought up-to-date
- consulting with Council on issues of a historical nature
- coordinating special projects on SPSSI history including improvement and additions to archives
- contributing occasional articles for the SPSSI newsletter, SPSSI journals, and/or the APA monitor on items of historical interest
- reporting activities periodically to Council
