It is our pleasure to bring you the Spring 2011 issue of the SPSSI Newsletter. In each of the three issues of the newsletter we will publish this year, we hope to feature news and reflections on SPSSI’s 75th Anniversary. In this issue, SPSSI President James Jackson provides a preview of our plans to commemorate this anniversary throughout 2011. SPSSI continues to do very important work in the policy arena. Along these lines, we also feature reports from Angel Colón Rivera, SPSSI’s James Marshall Public Policy Scholar; and from Alex Ingrams, SPSSI’s Policy Coordinator. Please let us know if you are interested in contributing an article related to SPSSI’s 75th Anniversary for the summer or fall issues of the newsletter.
