Student Presentation Prize at the SPSSI 2019 Summer Conference

Every year, Feminism & Psychology holds a competition at the SPSSI Conference for the best student presentation concerned with gender, sex, or sexualities. The winner receives a certificate of honor and a year’s subscription to Feminism & Psychology, an international peer-reviewed journal.

To compete for the 2019 prize, students should send a copy of their conference proposal to Jeanne Marecek at jmarece1@swarthmore.edu by 1 May 2019. In particular, entrants should send a copy of the proposal with the author(s)’s name removed, as well as a separate page with their name, institution, the name of their graduate supervisor, and their contact details. Single-authored papers and co-authored papers are eligible. The entrant, however, must be the first author and must present the paper. (Posters and participation in round-table discussions are not eligible.) Recent graduates are eligible to compete if the work they intend to present was carried out while they were students.

The winner will be notified shortly after the conference.

Feminism & Psychology, now in its 29th year, is an international quarterly forum for critical theory and research at the interface of feminisms and psychologies. The journal publishes empirical research and critical theoretical articles.
