| | Asia Eaton | | | Asia A. Eaton directs the PWR Lab (for “power, women, and relationships”) as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Florida International University. Together, our research explores how gender intersects with identities such as race, class, age, and sexual orientation to affect individuals access to and experience with social power in (1) intimate partner relationships and (2) in the workplace. The PWR lab also collaborates with community organizations in research, such as Cyber Civil Rights Initiative (CCRI), which is working to understand and end the emerging epidemic of nonconsensual porn, and Lotus House, the largest shelter serving women experiencing homelessness in the U.S. Asia is currently an Associate Editor for Psychology of Women Quarterly (PWQ), and is serving on SPSSI council for 2018-2021. |
