Ryan Pickering

 

Dr. Ryan Pickering is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania. He teaches courses on prejudice, power, social class and other contemporary social issues. At Allegheny, Ryan worked with a colleague and students to form the college's first club for First Generation and/or Low-Income students. Ryan also has served as the co-chair of the Early Career Scholars committee for SPSSI and as the Vice Chair of APA's Committee on Socioeconomic Status. Ryan earned his doctorate in Social Psychology at the University of Maine and his bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Maine at Farmington. He is committed to prejudice reduction, social justice, teaching, and the liberal arts.
