Bertram H. Raven

It is with sadness SPSSI hears about the passing of former SPSSI president, Bertram Raven.  He was chair of the UCLA Psychology department from  1983-1988 and in research is best known for his theoretical work with J. R. P. French on the bases of social power, which he developed and applied in a number of contexts. Read the university announcement here.

SPSSI was saddened to hear about the recent passing of member, Bennington College Faculty Emeritus and award-winning teacher, Ronald Cohen who focused his research in social psychology on issues of justice and silence, and took his practice into the community with his work on reparative justice.  Read the university announcement here.
