The Institute for the Study and Promotion of Race and Culture 2009 Diversity Challenge: Racial Identity and Cultural Factors in Treatment, Research and Policy

Each year the Institute for the Study and Promotion of Race and Culture addresses a racial or cultural issue that could benefit from a pragmatic, scholarly, or grassroots focus through its Diversity Challenge conference. The theme of the October, 2009 conference is the examination of racial identity and cultural factors in treatment, research, education and policy. The two-day conference held at Boston College includes panel discussion/symposia, workshops, structured discussions, a poster session, and individual presentations by invited experts and selected guests including educators, administrators, researchers, mental health professionals, and community organizations. Individuals interested in presenting should check the ISPRC website where the Call for Proposals is posted, http://www.bc.edu/schools/lsoe/isprc/dc.html. General information about the conference including pre-registration will also available on the website. For all inquiries feel free to email isprc@bc.edu.
